About Frank Gehry

Winner of the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize (1989), Frank O. Gehry is arguably the world’s greatest living architect.

Born in Canada, Mr. Gehry’s masterpieces include the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the Nationale-Nederlanden in Prague. Gehry is an artist of monumental importance. In a collaboration of historic significance, he turned his genius to the most intimate of all the arts, jewelry design for Tiffany. His intriguing, warped, and sometimes raw shapes are first expressed in a series of frenetic sketches. Some are fueled by childhood memories. Others by Renaissance masters and a handful of contemporary painters.
