Jean Schlumberger (1907–1987) was born into a prominent family of textile manufacturers in Alsace, France. As a child, he demonstrated a talent for drawing, which was not encouraged by his parents, who sent him to Berlin in the 1930s to pursue a career in banking. He developed neither taste nor talent for numbers, however, and soon moved to Paris where he could indulge his love of the arts.
Schlumberger’s designs at Tiffany & Co. were remarkable for their whimsical interpretations of natural forms. He was especially inspired by sea creatures and other animals. Diana Vreeland wrote that Schlumberger “appreciates the miracle of jewels. For him, they are the ways and means to the realization of his dreams.”
Here we can see few of Schlumberger’s gorgeous designs.

The pearl is a naturally perfect jewel that requires no cutting or polishing, and no other gemstone matches its legacy of mystery and romance. As early as 3500 B.C., Middle Eastern and Asian societies treasured pearls as symbols of purity and feminine charm. In 19th century Europe, pearls were the favorite of royalty who valued them above all other gems. American women, too, were enamored of the pearl’s opalescent splendor.
The Elsa Peretti® Pearls by the Yard™ collection is less expensive than the others, but the simple and elegant design has been captured so many women’s hearts.

If you have bought Tiffany silver jewelry, they might come with a care of sterling silver card, and said: “Sterling silver is a precious metal and may require cleaning from time to time. Using a small amount of silver polish on a soft cloth, rub the piece of silver several times. This will remove the tarnish and dullness, keeping your sterling gift like new.”
Besides that, I will share some useful tips on how to brighten the darkened silver jewelry at home if there’s no silver polish at hand.
Tip 1. Pour a little vinegar to a small saucer, put your silver jewelry which is darkened into the vinegar to soak for a while, then wash it with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth, it will become bright again.
Tip 2. Toothpaste is really a perfect cleanser to clean silver. Just put a little toothpaste in a discarded toothbrush, brush the silver jewelry for a while, then rinse it thoroughly. It will look like new.
Tip 3. Rub with a eraser is another useful way to remove the tarnish and dullness.
Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by weight of silver and 7.5% by weight of other metals, usually copper.
Fine silver (99.9% pure) is generally too soft for producing large functional objects; therefore, the silver is usually alloyed with copper to give it strength, while at the same time preserving the ductility and beauty of the precious metal.
For classic Tiffany Notes collection, each piece is etched in a flowing script that spells out the company’s name and its address, 727 Fifth Avenue, New York.
Recently, Tiffany & co. has launched a new series of Tiffany Notes jewelry, the elegant script, inspired by handwritten invitations, has changed from company and its address to the phrase of “I love you”, as shown in the next picture.

Cufflinks are decorative fasteners that are worn by men. They are used to link up or fasten two portions of a French cuff. French Cuffs are found usually on shirts or blouses. The cuff itself is not fastened but overlaps itself as many button cuffs are meant to do. The cufflinks sometimes come in extremely simple designs. These designs consist of a post (the small cylinder-looking object) or it may also appear in the form of a chain that connects two parts that are shaped like discs. One of these parts is exactly sized to fit the hole that is on the cuff. However, the other part that is wider is placed and positioned on the side where one can see it. (That’s where the style quotient comes in).
Then let’s look at the video about how to wear cufflinks.

So many people are curious about the meaning of the numerals. Customer service of Tiffany & Co. told us that the Atlas design was inspired by the clock above the entrance to Tiffany’s New York store, the clock has been running since the late 1800’s. That is to say, the roman numerals represent the numerals on the clock at Tiffany’s in New York.
Return to Tiffany is the most classic collection of tiffany & co. jewelry.
All the key chains produced in and after 50th have their unique number respectively. So if the key chain is lost, but someone sends it to the shop keeper, then the shop keeper could find the owner according to its number. Just as it goes “return to Tiffany, return to the owner”. This is a story about Return to Tiffany. With this popular Tiffany motif, one is never lost.
